Help FizX very weak bumpers

Finally dived into making a table with FizX, followed the tutorial and the machine is working great. I love the flippers and the physics, but the bumpers which even when set on max strength are very weak, hardly moving the ball especially upwards. What is causing this? Table angle is set at 5.5, everything else works great!

I had the same problem at first. Click on the bumper model (not JLou's bumper shirt). Click on "trigger skirt" so it is unchecked and disables the skirt on the bumper so it uses JLou's skirt model.

I'll repeat this here just in case but the strength slider in the GUI has to be in the middle. I had troubles (even before physics) using too much strength in several objects and I'm pretty sure that alone breaks FP physics engine (not FizX).

Actually, you should always start with the slider in the middle and adjust just one of 2 (i don't thing it is needed) clicks in the GUI.

Exception made to the slingshots where the strength slider should be disabled (all the way to the left). But, follow the instructions in "All in one example Table" and you should be good to go. Read the script and look at the table object's properties.

well it seems I should have watched more of the tutorial. As George says "trigger skirt" unchecked and using the peg skirt like in the tutorial fixes it :)

pro hint: if you open both AIO table and your table in the same insance you can copy the objects from AIO and they'll have teh same properties so you don't need to worry about these details

Im loving it, you can finally aim with the flippers, you can bunt and trap as well, my biggest dislike of the original FP physics was the awful flippers and slingshots

What Anon said about adjusting the slider on bumpers applies to the main flippers also although you use the tip and base omega (mostly tip omega) to make adjustments. Then you can adjust the slider on the upper flippers if the table has them.

If you are confused about how to copy and paste from one table to the next, you can watch the first video on FizX Lite Edition. I explain how to do it there. Even if you change models, the settings, names of images and everything else stays the same when you copy and paste this way.
