Removing "Future Pinball" text in the loading screen

One of the things I like with some tables is how clean the loading screen looks (e.g. @AnonTet your Cosmic Princess table for example). I understand that this is possible by providing a custom ZIP file in the same directory as the table. Is there a way to do this without also causing the other issues? I believe having this ZIP file (using the same name as your table name) BAM will also use it for things like ball physics and other physics. For example, if I provide a ZIP file with my table, doesn't that override the default.zip file that a user might have in the BAM directory? Maybe that's ok, but I'm just checking.

Has there been a request for BAM to support "hide FP logo" on splash screen? (I don't know if it is supported since many splash screens for apps are shown before code is actually being processed).

We don't use hacked versions of the FP exe, as it has issues with some setups, can cause problems with things such as DOF, PUP, and may not work correctly if they are patched for 4 GB access.

Only use the original fp exe, patched for 4 GB access.

The only other option for the loading screen to have no logo would be to try using a default.zip placed in the BAM folder. This would need to contain FP's default assets, with the FP logo image replaced with an empty transparent image. You still want the FizX 1K ball model in there.

Just add the "default.zip" to your folder "C:\Games\Future Pinball\BAM". I always add the file for it to a TGA folder and save it to the FizX ball zip file when I post tables. You can find it attached to this message:

Thanks all. That seems to match with the info that I've found (using the default.zip). Does anyone know how BAM works when it finds a ZIP file of resources associated with a table - does it fallback to default.zip in BAM folder if it can't find a specific resource?

For example, if I create a ZIP file same as my table name, and only put the 378.TGA file in that ZIP (under the TGA folder in the zip file). In that case there isn't a BMP or MODELS folder in the zip file. When BAM loads and it finds a ZIP file for the table does it still look for the 1k Ball model that is in default.zip in the BAM folder? Kinda like how "cascading style sheets work".

I'll try some things out but I don't yet know how to verity I am using the 1k ball model in default.zip

BAM checks in order, and uses what it finds first:

- table script (for physics / xml)
- zip file named same as table, uses whatever FP default resources it finds
- if no zip matching table is found, the default.zip in BAM folder is used (if found)

Thanks! So, BAM doesn't look to see if the zip file named the same as the table actually contains all the necessary resources, it just stops there once it sees there is that zip file. Got it, thanks!

You can see all the folders that BAM recognizes by unzipping one of the Zedonius files that is in your BAM XML folder. The names of the files inside the folders have to be right also to make them work.
