Best Way to Line Up RubberBands Over Scoring Rubbers

Working on 8 Ball (1952 Williams) where all the rubbers add score. If the RubberBand is too far behind the rubber then you don't get FizX control, too far in front of and you get FizX bounce but the rubber doesn't add scores.

Should the RubberBands perfectly line up with the rubbers in these situations? Just an absolute hair in front of? Hair behind?

Just wondering what the general consensus is for this scenario.
 
Just wait a little, I have updated 8 balls with FizX 3.
RubberBands have to be a little in front of rubbers.
