The home run bullseye target needs to be filed clean and gapped. The bullseye target might have its own relay, check and see if it pulls in when the bullseye target is hit. Or the bullseye targets only job might be to score a replay and the homerun hole scores a run. The pinball database doesnít have a schematic to actually tell if Iím correct.

You will need a alligator jumper wire connecting one end to the 25volt fuse clip and the other end to the coil lug that doesnít have a black or bare wire. If the coil doesnít fire itís bad. Using the schematic and jumper wire you can back trace the circuit until the problem is found.

It looks like on the schematic that the bullseye relay will only pull in when all 3 men are on base on the running man unit. Try loading up the bases and hit the bullseye target and see if it works correctly on a grand slam. Also if you havenít yet done so, clean and check the running man unit man on base switches.

It sounds like the original coil went bad at some point and was changed with whatever coil the tech had in his truck . The lower number coil thatís listed on the schematic is the correct one to use. The incorrect coil with the higher number is used for relays that stay pulled in longer than a normal relay coil that does a quicker function. The higher number coil also has more resistance than normal, so when you test it wonít pull in as much. So replacing the coil with the lower number that the schematic says would be a good idea. Testing coils with a battery isnít as good as using a jumper wire, using a jumper wire puts the correct 25 volts to the coil, instead of just 9 volts.

Every 2 player pitch and bat that I have seen the 1st player will complete their half inning, then the 2nd player will play their half inning. The machine doesnít alternate between players. Sometimes a 2 player game, one player will do the pitching and the other will bat, and then switch when 3 outs are made.
