Post Credits in the Arcade

A new modification was added to the Arcade, If you are Registered and Loggged In while playing games, you can spend and earn credits by placing 5th of better. The cost to play any game is currently set to 1 credit with a static jackpot of 10. Tournaments can also incorporate the Credits system.

Some general information about the current Credits configuration, in the future you will be able to purchase (No real money needed!) things like special images and other stuff like the old forums.

The credits were calculated and imported from the old forum information.
Currently, here are some settings that are in use about how you gain Credits in the forums, there are so many options it makes my head spin, feel free to make suggestions or report problems.

Registering: 200
Referral Credit: 100 (added by referring a new user to the site)
Referee Bonus Credit: 50 (new referrals get this bonus)
Paycheck Credit: 10 (added every day)
Activity Credit: 10 (added every day that you log in)
Birthday Credit: 100 (Added on your birthday if it's filled out in your User CP
Granted Reputation Credit: .01 (awarded when you increase someones reputation level)
Received Reputation Credit: 10
New Thread Credit: 20
Thread Rated Credit: 5 (added if you rate someones thread)
Your Thread Rated Credit: 1
Your Thread Replied Credit: 2 (when someone replies in a thread you created)
Your Thread Posting Credit: 3 (when you post in a thread you created)
Posting Credit: 5 (added for all posts except when creating a new thread or replying to your own thread)
Post Size Credit: .01
Your Thread Viewed Credit: 0.05 (applied when a registered user views your thread)
Your Profile Viewed Credit: 0.05 (Doesn't count Guests or yourself)
Poll Created Credit: 10
Poll Voted Credit: 3
Attachment Credit: 3
Sent PM Credit: 1
Calendar Event Credit: 3
Profile Picture Credit: 3 (Applied when a profile picture is added)
Profile Fields Credit: 3 (Applied when the user has 1 custom profile field filled out, Favorite Pinball Machine)

I'm still trying to test the system but your feedback would be appreciated, You currently can spend and gain Credits in the Arcade, Casino, In your User Control Panel under Donations and Drawings, and in Name that Tune.

I forgot to add some information about the Credits settings in the Arcade.

All of the Jackpots are currently set as Static instead of Raising, Static means that when somebody wins the Jackpot it resets to it's original value (currently 10). It didn't really make sense to be set to Raising right now because so many have no high scores and payouts are given to the top 5 scorers, divided by ranking. A Raising Jackpot resets to 0 when anyone wins it, Credits are added whenever anyone pays the cost (currently 1) and doesn't win.

Another deactivated setting is an Arcade Pass, this setting controls the entire Arcade availability to Users who buy a Pass, it was ON by default when the Credits were integrated with the Arcade and was set to 10,000! I bought one for 10K before realizing it could be disabled...
Just another option, the Pass can be set for any amount and duration.

I think 1 Credit Per Play is fair, but what ticks me off occasionally is that a credit is being substracted even if you dont actually play a game. Entering the page that hosts a game seems to be enough for the system to believe that the user is going to play the game (personally im just looking sometimes) and that of course results in a lost credit every time no matter if you actually played the game or not.

(The only way around this is currently to log off before you check out any yet-unknown-to-you games. But then you wont be able to submit highscores or collect rewards either, so that solution is rather suboptimal as well.)

So if it could be made so that a credit is only being substracted when the user actually starts to play the game, that would really cool. If that doesnt work for whatever technical reason (and i assume it probably wont) then i am all for leaving it as it is, meaning 1 Credit Per Play and rewards according to whatever the game is supposed to be paying out for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.,...

Thanks,
Phoenixx
