Default DAM

Since I don't have a college degree I thought that I would give myself one. Of course if it would have to be DAM . Doctor of Amusement Machines. Now does anybody have any DAM questions?

what is (or are) the most interesting non-pinball amusement machine(s) you've messed with?

is it true that gambling machines are taking over?

My two favorites are the puck bowlers and the pitch & bats.

Is it more true that Internet gambling is taking over?

could be, although i was curious about amusements on site, really.

back in the 90's and occasionally the aughts, i would hang out at dave & busters, philly. they didn't have a huge selection of arcade video games, but they did have a nice little lineup of pinballs and some elaborate FPS games where you would kind of sit in a dome or little theatre and blast away. and other games where you would stand in a 'sports' situation, like a pair of skis, and pretend you were tearing up the matterhorn for example.

last week one of the D&B's execs did a pretty cool AMA ("ask me anything"), and it sounds like ticket-gambling machines have almost totally taken over the floor at this point.
