Bally hocus pocus help.

New here looking for a little help. I have a hocus pocus machine that i got up and working. The problem i am having is every time during a game i get a free game it resets the machine. Every time I hit the player button the knocker goes off and it adds a credit and adds a game. It was already set up for free play before i got it. Could it be that some one ran a jumper wire from one relay to another to try and set up free play that way? Im new to pinball but i do have some electrical repair knowledge so i am hoping this is something I can fix easy.
