Default Gottlieb Sky Jump. Score reels and motor

Hi,
First post, first pinball.
I bought this Sky jump (and very poor schematic) off a 90 year old who has very poor eye sight. He had attempted to replace the 10,000 score reel but got very confused with the wiring colours.
The 3 original score wheel are round with 3 switches at the top, the replacement is a 10 sided reel with only 2 switches, is this a suitable replacement?
I soon sorted out the wiring for pins 2-9 that were helpfully marked, also sorted the solenoid wires.
The problem I have is that I have 4 wires left with only 3 tags vacant on the top switches. The wires are fairly short so I'm assuming they do go to the top of the unit, unless he has cut them very short!

The 3 original reels will reset on switch on, the 4th does nothing and the score motor is continuously running but I'm assuming this is due to the problems with the wiring of the 4th reel.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The 3rd switch that is missing is the 9th position carry over. Since there isn't a 100,000 reel or 100,000 relay , the 3rd switch isn't needed. Examine the 1000 score reel switch wires as a comparison for wire colors and lug positions. A legible copy of the schematic may be needed and posted for correct connections. The flat sided score reels were sometimes called decagon reels ,that were used in older gottlieb machines and be able to be used on your machine.

Thanks for your reply. I'm working my way through other faults/problems I've noticed since I started on this machine. Nice to know that the score reel is suitable. I can carry on now knowing that I'm not wasting time trying to get unsuitable parts to work. Unfortunately the wire colours are different on each of the reels. Seized ratchets and filthy contacts will keep me busy for a while. Steep learning curve!
