Default Downloads; Sales or Licenses---decided how?

Seems to me, if thousands or more 'buy' something for their own use, those are 'sales'.....what would transform them into licenses? Maybe the difference between 15% and 50%.....

When it's all over, I hope Quincy lives to collect whatever he gets.

maybe it's because a sale is a one-time thing, but a license implies that you have a right to do something repeatedly.

when online distribution came along, a purchase usually allowed a user to download something multiple times. that's a big difference between going to a record store and receiving multiple copies of a CD for a single sales price. so i can see quincy's point about the situation.

at the same time, selling digital media on the internet is a whole different model, and IMO would not generate nearly the sales profit as the traditional model. so i'm not sure that the money quincy thinks is there is really there, nor why he feels a need to go after it at this point. what, is your fleet of yachts badly in need of repair there, duderino...?
