Tii, shame on you! You know that side of The Beatles White Album that no one other than Charlie Manson ever listens to? "Revolution 9"? I could post the original, but I prefer the video with the "Paul is Dead" clues.

That Beatles "song" caused acid flip outs for sure. It even affected people at later dates, long after hearing it. Several fellow tripping students ran terrified out of school and out of basements everywhere. They reported hearing audio hallucinations from sections of Revolution 9. Generally thinking they were going crazy or under attack. That song has been surpassed by 'The Sugar Cubes' horrible, twisted sounding, sour harmonics. I have always wondered if that nightmare of a song was created by the CIA or something. The name 'Sugar Cubes" must be acid related. The radio occasionally played that song for decades. It is guaranteed to turn your trip into a bummer. I don't know the title of that weaponized track. I want that awful song rounded up and quarantined.
I personally like 'Revolution 9' and there's plenty good songs on that double record album. 'Back In The USSR, Glass Onion, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Black Bird, Rocky Raccoon, Birthday, Everybody's Got Something To Hide('cept for me and my MONKEY) Helter Skelter And ESPECIALLY > SAVOY TRUFFLE < One Of My All Time Fav's Cranked up to #9! I like your work there too Tii ... So yeah...'Somethin' Tells Me I'm into Something Good"

This may be the original Paul McCartney. The story is, Paul refused to "Play Along" with Satanist corrupted evil and dropped out of the business. He was replaced with Faul McCartney(William Campbell/Billy Schears?) .From Wiki P >>> To spare the public from grief, the Beatles replaced him with "William Campbell", the winner of a McCartney look-alike contest.[11] <<< That's believable, I guess. Somehow Paul did grow 2 inches in one year and changed many facial features. Like his ears rising over an inch, Paul #1's ear lobes are below his nose. I find this video heartwarming and wish any&all Pauls well.
What is really freeking hard to believe...? Peace-nik, all time radical, John Lennon is said to have accepted Satan somewhere along the way. If I can find that distressing bit-o-gossip I will add it to this thread. P>S> I would have loved to hear "Sleepy's" thoughts on all this. It seems this legend has been discussed here @ PN before. I can't remember if Sleepy had something to say about it ?

You made me think about Paul's portrayal in Yellow Submarine. Strutting around with his chest puffed out for the adoring fans in his head. It's sad to learn celebrities we admire are douche nozzles. I guess I would have picked Phil Collins to be the more stuck up individual for some reason. Phil sounds like a level headed guy. I was surprised to learn Chevy Chase is a complete ass. Chevy is not just rude but mean spirited to the point of petty physical violence...BUMMER that. I wonder what 'Norm McDonald' is really like?

yellow submarine-- good question. IIRC the beatles didn't do their own voices and didn't have much participation in the film. paul's arrogance was perhaps a subtle send-up from the director / producer, i guess.
i've seen a good bit of norm's media and read what others have said about him (ordinary folks and comics, both), but have never heard a bad word about him. that would indeed be a letdown for me if it turned out he was an ass. OTOH, norm is such an artist at making people feel giggly but uncomfortable (for his own vast amusement)... i would guess that being an arrogant prick works against his own secret of success. if that makes sense, you know. a comedian i'm really digging the hell out these days is jim jefferies. warning: NSFW / offensive to christians. btw-- jim has a pretty sordid tale to tell about fellow comic tim allen, if we're still on the gossip vine. |
