Default Gottlieb Big Indian Add Bonus

To my knowledge, everything works correctly on my 1973 Gottlieb Big Indian with the exception of the 500pt+add bonus function. It will award 500 points, but does not add bonus. The add bonus relay does not pull in when switch is tripped. Some are rollovers and some are targets. The 100pt+add bonus switches (rollovers) work fine. The relay pulls in, adds bonus and awards 100 points as normal. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

are there dedicated relays for the 100pt+add bonus , 500pt+add bonus , and 500 points? if so check all switches on these relays for problems. if you have schematic find the bonus advance circuits and check the score motor switches involved for problems.

There are dedicated relays for the 100pt+add bonus and the 500pt+add bonus. I don't think there is a dedicated relay for 500 pt., but will check. Will recheck score motor switches.

Thanks~

Could not find any apparent score motor problems. Do you know if relay 2B is the associated relay on the score motor?

is normal operation of the 500pt+addbonus relay to give 500 points and 1 or 5 bonus steps?

500 points plus 1 bonus advance. Just realized that the double bonus on last ball is not working either (does not light or award double bonus). I'm pretty confident these are related problems. I checked all switches on score motor and all appear to be OK.

what do you mean relay 2b on score motor? is it relay 2b usually 2nd player latch in , or score motor switch position 2b? does double bonus work on either 3 or 5 ball play? usually the ball count/player up unit wiper disc rivet will pulse double bonus relay. these issues are getting to where a schematic may be needed soon.

Score motor switch 2b (or the switches below relay 2 on the score motor if that is not correct name). Double bonus does not work on any ball to my knowledge.

Schematic is too large to fit in scanner without folding into pretty small sections. Attached are photos of top and bottom of schematic. They look pretty sharp as taken, but don't how much the resolution will be reduced when posted. I also can scan or photograph individual sections as needed.

Thanks

Pinball Dave,

Was this the correct scan, and was it legible?

Trying again. One scan and two photos. These photos look really good on my end when enlarged. I hope they come through that way. Thanks very much for your help in getting this issue resolved! CharlesClick image for larger version

Can't find a bl-yel or a gr-red on D, but all switches on D are open and appear to NO switches.

Default Ball kick out is slow

My add bonus and double bonus features are now working normally. But I am having what seems to be a progressive issue with slow ball kick out when first starting the game. It seems to be a voltage-related issue, as it will gradually kick a little harder as the score motor runs, and finally will kick the ball out into the shooter lane. Once it starts, it's fine with no delay for the rest of the session, no matter how many games are played. It only happens on a "cold" start. If I start the game with a ball in the shooter lane, no matter how "cold" the start, it operates perfectly every time. The kick out coil tests good and kicker assembly is clean and does not bind. Once it gets started, the kick is always strong.
Suggestions?

Whatever contact carrying the current for the kick out solenoid may be the problem.
P>S>1 B E ...?[score motor?] Outhole coil ? I can't seem to find the coil or code letter in your photos. I think Gottlieb sometimes use 'O' as out hole coil.

Thanks! That was my thought as well. I've gone through the score motor and cleaned contacts and think the problem may be resolved.
