Here's a very early WIP pic of my latest VP project, based on my in-progress Bravo template.
I was going to call this table "Own the Zone" but early on I decided to change the name to "Zone Fury" because I thought that sounded like a cool name for a pinball. This one is probably the closest thing to a true original I have attempted to make. I've hardly laid down any graphics for it yet, that will come later probably after I get most of the ruleset scripted and working. The table is inspired by and sort of based on the Zone game mode in the PS3 game Wipeout HD. The goal is to get to as high a Zone as you can. I plan on one multiball (called Zone Battle Multiball, inspired by the Zone Battle mode in the Fury expansion of Wipeout HD). I plan to try to make it so that as you progress through the Zones the table will play faster and faster. Not sure how well I can pull it off but I'll give it a go and see what happens. I currently have some of this acceleration implemented (a few triggers that increase acceleration on the ball based on the current Zone), the rest will come. You'll get bonus points or other rewards for attaining certain Zones (named Zones as well as clearing certain Zones). The main way to advance Zones is through ramp shots, though I may set it up so you can gain Zones in other ways. There will be 12 manufacturers you can also collect based on the AG ship manufacturers in Wipeout HD, and you collect these by completing certain tasks on the table. This is at an extremely early stage, so I've got a very long ways to go, but it's a start. The screenie shows how a WS version would look. I currently plan to make WS and 4:3 versions of this. I'm debating whether to make a FS version as well. If enough people want it, I'll probably see about making a FS version after releasing the desktop versions. I'm not fully sure what I'm going to do with the ramps yet. I'll probably make them at least partially alpha. I have an idea for the ramps to make them look like a piece of one of the Wipeout HD tracks. I think it would be a cool effect if I can pull it off. Take Care

Looks VERY nice Neo. Thank GOD I don't dabble with tons of lights. I can't do it, but this looks very nice and straightforward. I wish you luck on this one! I would myself like to do two homebrew tables but have yet to get the music / sounds for what I need for a Wizardry 8 table or Wizards And Warriors (for the IBM PC).
Loved both games and wish I could come up with some crazy ass ideas. I have a few but it would be hell to implement them. Looks very nice Neo. Will druadic |

TY Sir...
Since I was in the process of changing internet providers (got cable internet just today), I got a lot of this actually done over the weekend. Got most of the playfield done, most of the graphics done, the music's in place, most of the sounds in place. Script is pretty much done. I may add some more sounds to the game and some ornamental stuff to the playfield and it needs a LOT of testing. I think I got most of the issues out, but there may be something lurking. The ramps are nearly done, though I may tweak them still. I think I've done more work on these ramps than I have ever done before. The flippers will also change colors during a game when you attain certain Zones. It's been a pretty fun build so far.

That looks slick as hell! I have NEVER made a "homebrew" pinball - just don't have what it takes, but have made "homebrew" puzzle games for VP. I think my stronger area is that I LOVE to redraw old flipperless machines playfields. I LOVE IT and find that redrawing them pixel by pixel via MSPaint is just something I have to do daily.
More power to you - I sure as hell can't do homebrew tables like that at all! Will |

Thanks...Here is what will likely be the final screenshot before this one is unleashed to anyone in the VP world who's interested. The graphics and ruleset is pretty much done, script's pretty much done.
This game I had just made Zone 75 for the first time since I started building it Just need a handful more sounds (which to obtain I need to actually play Wipeout HD and/or take my chances with recording audio off youtube) and some final testing and I can package this up.
