Butch Wax, a pink goo with a smell of "pink flower petals" for slicking Crew Cuts.

Wax Licorice Mustaches and Wintergreen Wax Teeth. And mini Halloween Wax Skulls filled with fruit-flavored candy juices.

Mixing licorice and orange jelly beans.

Squirt guns packed with disappearing ink. The 'red color' of the ink on a victim's shirt would vanish to clear as it dried.

Sulfurous opaque Clearasil (A White Man's Flesh-Colored Zit Cream).
It didn't work at all.
There was a band in '67 who deliberately coated their faces in this sulfurous version of Clearasil to appear "mannequin-like".

I tried it one Saturday evening on the way to Disneyland in '67 and it nearly destroyed me by drying out my face.
It did have a groovy Jasmine scent, under the sulfur smell, though overall, it actually smelled a lot like Silly Putty.

At the age of 9 while living in the Western Pennsylvania countryside, out in the dark night boonies, I bought a copy of "X: The Man With the X-Ray Eyes" horror comic book, based on the Ray Milland movie.
The frame showing what happened to The Monkey scared the shit out of me.

Unfortunately, he passed away in 2008.
He was extremely instrumental in promoting Troll Dolls on his Ch. 13 L.A. t.v. teen pop music show back in '65. Very cool and I watched it religiously.
Not sure if this is the best example of the show though...

Troll Dolls were brand spankin' new in '65 and became a huge local fad, possibly thanks to being featured in comedic skits on his music show between spins of Satisfaction and .

Troll Dolls are those odd little human creatures with jeweled eyes and the long flaming-color fuzzy hair, like the one on the RollerCoaster Tycoon pinball machine.

Thaxton's show also had a chubby beat/hippie character doll carrying a Protest Sign which also became popular, but only in L.A.. It was also available for a time at local toy stores and I think you could write your own protest message on the sign.

Okay, if that one doesn't work then I'm going with "Strawberry Alarm Clock" Thaxton or No. Great Lyrics to be had here, Quasimodo. Just don't dump that flaming Notre Dame candlewax on me:
