A LOT of people miss Paul. I do A LOT. ShivaSite was the definate repository for all VP information/PF's and even more. Along came JPH with "The Magic Of Flipperless" which we now know as "Pinball Nirvana" and both joined forces.

I for one am glad Shiva seems to lurk around a bit. I feel fanfare for this man is something we all need to show.

Yes I am still alive, at least I was the last time I looked

I had actually forgotten my password or I would have dropped in and said hello a long time ago.

It's nice that I am still remembered and all, and not the slightest surprised it is this site that does.

I do miss a few people, but everything else I don't miss in the slightest. I'm pretty happy what I am doing now, and I will just leave it at that. Personally, I'm pretty good considering, my health is still pretty much the same, I'm enjoying looking after my son (who will be 14 soon!) I'm getting older and enjoying the laziness that comes with it.

I do prefer to stay away though, but I am not that hard to find if you wish to drop a line by email and say hello. It's nice to see you two, Will and John

Great to hear that you're still doing your thing, your way, Paul. It's a shame that most of the movers and shakers from those long-ago years are so often ignored or treated as if they have some sort of disease. It's wonderful that you are caring for your son. I still remember some of our chats when things weren't going so well for either of us. The best revenge is surviving all the BS.

Nice to see your doing well - not doing much with VP anymore, just stopping by to say hello. I figured you were fine and am glad to see so.

As for me, my health has taken a toll for the worse; migraine headaches associated with neurological damage to my eyes and brain cause me serious problems. If it wasn't for my very good friend Mike and a clinic I go to I know I would not be able to cope with the pain I'm in. That's why I've kind of dropped out of the VP scene, but am finding solace in older Dos games and am having fun.

I know about negativity trust me; I don't post as much as I used to and am thankful for that. Don't use the phone much either. As for staying away, yes; I am pretty much doing the same thing as I've more important things to do.

Still it's good to see you're around. More than likely you've been dumped on like me and am tired of it so you're in the background. Me too

Don't be a stranger Paul. You are sorely missed.

Hey Druadic, ask the clinic about Vitamin B5; Calcium D-Pantothenate; the salt of Pantothenic Acid.
It supports antihistamine formation.

Histamines induce swelling and pain. For instance, the stomach releases histamines to induce the feeling of hunger.
Most pain in the body is a variant of the hunger impulse, when specific regions are not getting blood flow and food and are then releasing (more) histamines as a consequence of misinterpreting a non-existent injury due to the loss of food and oxygen/gas exchange.

Also, ask about Biotin.
But don't get crazy taking vitamin doses larger than normal food levels.

I'm currently on Propranolol which is actually for heart patients but has amazing effects for people with migraines. There is truth in this as my migraines have almost disappeared. At first I didn't want to take any medications but the doctor I saw knew his stuff - I explained to him what I was going through and he right away KNEW my problem. I can explain to you in a PM or the chatroom I sent you a link to. Anyway to finish this up, this medication is truly helping me. I will also look into what you're talking about as well because it might help me further. The worst part of all this is when I get pain in my eyes and the crown of my head is when folks want to steer clear of me - yes, it's THAT BAD.

At least I'm in less and less pain with this medication so I'm thankful to say the least.

Once again thank you for the information as I will pass it along to my doctor.

Everything is good now. My sons problems are over so he is now just considered weird instead of homicidal, which is a lot better. He's done very well since I got custody, and I am shooting for "normal". Amazing what a change in a home environment will do to a child, but even so, still a lot of work for me even now.

I do my own things now, and I like to keep them to myself but still collect guitars and music stuff, looking at my next one, a "mid-life crisis" guitar, either a Hellraiser Extreme neckthrough with EMG actives or a DBZ Bird of Prey. Lovely

Wish I had the time though, Michael plus health plus life keeps me real busy, but I am happy when I am challenged in something, so thinking about a couple things down the road. I have been getting fascinated with space and how the cosmos is put together lately and starting to think about learning electronics and/or 3d printing. Wouldn't mind a 3d printer to play with, so I can learn to make cheap plastic sipping cups.

Shiva, as for the invite to chat, the last thing we talk about is pinball. It's just a bunch of guys hanging out. It's our own room and has nothing to do with the other place.

I also wanted to say thank you for the things you've done. I wasn't even computer literate when I joined, and by looking at your stuff I was able to piece together things enough to give me a start. I think your template was the most helpful (although I never actually made anything with it) learning tool.

Thanks Itchigo. It's amazing that something so old is still useful, but a lot of good things came from that project, like the Cold1 tutorials. The later versions are available again in my section here, lots of bits there are useful. Se4 I wished was more finished, or someone had picked it up, it would have solved a lot of problems for new scripters.
