Broken 1976 Bally Freedom

Help! I just recently bought a 1976 Bally freedom machine and it worked for a couple weeks and unfortunatley something went wrong and it stopped working. I already checked the fuses. I beleive there is something wrong with the coin mech because every time I put a coin through the machine the thumper in the back of the machine in the scorboard goes of once. the game board still lights up and some of the bumpers on the game field work still work, and some dont. The machine refuses to count credits and to put the ball in play. Thanks any help is greatly appreciated.

have you tripped the coin mech by hand to be sure you are adding credit? Those wires are pretty fragile, and aren't hard to get out of whack.

thanks, i looked over the coin mech and found nothing wrong with it, i found that the credit wheel in the back of the machine became stuck. There is still problems with the machine.

The playfield lights up

None of the bumpers or drop down targets work

The machine refuses to put the ball in play

the only things that work on the playfied are the roll over switches in the out lane that score the wheel value, and the shallow pits the ball fall in that score the wheel value.

the normally closed part of the coin mech switches on bally ems is part of the circuit that gives power to the score motor and other relays. to test the score motor for operation manually turn 1 of the cams slightly downword and the score motor should run 180 degrees. or push down on the top switch blade of the large switch stack on the first cam of the score motor. this is called the run out switch. if the score motor doesnt run check the wires and solder connections on the coin mech switches. if all that is working the game over latching relay switches is what i would check next.
