Watching a Frasier repeat tonight; Niles says, "I have to leave....I'm conducting a seminar on Multiple Personality Disorders, and it takes forever to fill out the nametags...."
Peace, gang.... carry on. Last edited by GSGregg; 11-06-2010 at 01:43 AM. |

Here you are, indeed.
I feel a lot more like I do now than I did then.....Hey! This is Deja Vu all over again! So, how's the pincushion? |

BTW, faralos;
Did you have any luck finding a Full Tilt!2 download? As I said in the GOG thread at VPF, I gave up and ordered a CD. It came on Monday (four days---not bad) in flawless condition and loaded easily. Approximately 106MB on the disc with about 70MB of it transferred to HDD, and the disc doesn't have to be loaded to start play! (Good; don't need a no-disc patch) Interesting tables, with Mad Scientist probably the best and Alien Daze a close second. Captain Hero.....well, I don't know; better than nothing, I guess. Maybe if I read the rules I'd appreciate it better (ya think?). Anyway, there's one oddball glitch: each table's window mode renders with the left half off the screen---whether it's 640x480, 800x600 or 1024x768. Full screen mode, though, renders normally in any rez. Another one of those go figure events. Guess I've gone on long enough; let me know if you want to hear more. Gregg |

I noticed that the latest version of VP8 I had to use windowed 800by600 at full screen though for the pins (esp Cirqus Voltaire and the new ones) so try that

Yeah.....I've been playing VP in windowed 912x684, but to hopefully reduce stutter and bottlenecking on multiball tables, not to reposition the windows. I guess i didn't state the issue clearly; the window is shifted to the left to where the vertical center is exactly on the left edge of the monitor screen. It will, however, drag back to wherever I want and can be played normally if so desired; in Fullscreen, all resolutions center correctly. On my monitor there is no difference between 1024x768 and Fullscreen that I can see, and it's supposed to be a 1280x1024 (5:4) monitor. When I click that one up, though, the monitor's relay clicks off for a few seconds while something takes 'a deep breath', then turns back on.....and the 1280x is actually a bit smaller than the 1024. So.....I'm content with 1024x when things flow smoothly.

when your monitor clicks off does the screen turn black? if so that means that your pin resolution does not match your desktop resolution. make sure they match, too. my monitor does it if the table i am playing was saved in a different version of vp and may have been built using a different resolution.
