Some sims are designed to be completed.Score isn't important like in Sierra's.Free games aren't important either.
It's a continue and xtraball that counts. :drinking:

One could probably make the same argument about some real "modal" games (i.e., Addams Family). It's more interesting to complete everything than it just being a matter of free games (though, of course, they'd come, anyway.)
For that matter, some of the best vp originals keep you wishing you could finish everything, high score be damned. (Build Your Own House, Torture Chamber of Insanity and Inner City Life, to mention three TOTALLY different games that have that in common!) |

Glad you agree.PC Sierra games are like that.I gave up posting them at pcpinball.com
But most PC pinball scores are posted there.I did well till some scores where hard to believe. I had a great play and score of say 1 billion after months of playing it and someone posts 80 billion. Yes completing Theatre_of_ Magic was great.Didn't even notice the score. |

How can you trust the scores someone posts? What keeps them from just lying?
(I'm serious, having never done anything like posting high scores before. Every once in awhile I'll finally beat one of Sphere's scores and post it on his site...but how does he know I'm not lying, other than the fact that, if I was, I'd be a lot more outrageous than I am?) |

With originals tables like Sphere's, you'd probably need to take the same approach as VPOH took - code into the table that it uploads it's score when the game ends and then lock the table to prevent tampering. |

Which is, of course, way too involved for an original table or several...so Georg has just got to take people on their word.

Some posted score seem imposible as i had played them very well. He didn't even restrict it to members who could prove it by confirmed membership to join and send an email pic. |

When i finish a game it shows the last score and not the higher that i gain-i lose it.What can i do to have my highest score in view every time i open the game and not the last score.
